Savour Sicily Culinary Tours offers a boutique tour with a small group of like minded food loving travellers

From the east to the west and the Aeolian islands, and from the coastlines to the mountain ranges, discover Sicily’s culinary differences, shaped by over 3000 years of history. Here is a taste of your culinary journey:

  • Visit a west coast winery located within a notable 15th century farmhouse to sample Sicily’s zesty wines and devour 9th century Moorish influenced cuisine in the stunning internal courtyard, including the regions famous Fish Cuscus
  • Discover the shimmering saltpans of Trapani with origins dating back to Phoenician times and learn more about this precious ancient commodity, with unforgettable views of the lagoon and ancient windmills
  • Purchase seasonal produce in one of Palermo's vibrant outdoor street markets and prepare lunch with a Duchess in a historic aristocratic palazzo, with sweeping views of the bay
  • Wonder at the glittering mosaics of the Cattedrale di Monreale, the finest example of Sicily’s UNESCO World Heritage listed Arab-Norman architecture
  • Arrive through rolling hills covered in a patchwork of farmland to the grand agricultural estate of a noble family in remote central Sicily, and engage in intimate cooking class using ingredients from the land
  • Marvel at the majestic Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, a gift from the ancient Greeks of 6th century Doric temples set in ancient olive groves
  • In the pretty seaside fishing village of Cefalu, delight in counters filled with the world's tastiest gelato and discover the original ice-cream sandwich
  • Spend a morning with the shepherds in the ancient rural heartland, making and tasting our very own cheese, and learn more about this age-old production carried out since the Greeks found the Sicilian terrain perfect for rearing sheep and goats, making milk based products for profitable trade between Magna Graecia
  • Join local fishermen for an exciting boat tour of the Aeolian Islands, hopping the archipelago, swimming off the coast and enjoying a gorgeous feast of fresh fish on board
  • On the paradise island of Salina, sip local Malvasia in a sun-drenched square by day, and savour an aperitivo by night, as Stromboli errupts in front of that unforgettable pink Aeolian sunset
  • Dip a sweet brioche into an icy granita before delighting in the passeggiata (stroll) down Taormina’s main drag, taking in the glitz and glamour of this stunning hilltop village 
  • Climb up to the terraced vineyards of Mount Etna to taste volcanic and mineral rich indigenous wines paired to a local menu
  • At the lively La Pescheria fish market in Catania, witness the freshest of the day’s catch from fishermen under the tarpaulins, before a cooking class featuring handmade pasta for the city's famous pasta dish 'Norma' named after Bellini's opera, as well as making our very own Cannoli 
  • Lose yourself in the island's baroque jewel Siracusa, then stock up on top-tier Denominazione di Origine Protetta (DOP) certified produce at the artisan delicatessens in the incredible street market
